- Take 1 ltr can Tuna fish in water (170-200 gms)
- Take 1 medium size potato, boiled
- Take 1 slice bread
- Get 1 small onion, chopped
- Take 2 Green chilies, chopped
- Prepare 1/2 tsp crushed Black pepper
- Prepare 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- Prepare 1 egg
- Take 1 tsp lemon juice
- Take to taste Salt
- Get as needed Oil

Steps to make Tuna (fish) cutlets:
- Drain canned tuna well. Put it in a bowl and lightly mash with a fork.
- Add mashed boiled potato
- Separate egg white from yolk
- Grind bread slice and prepare crumbs out of it, add to the tuna along with egg yolk, chopped onion, green chillies, and salt to taste.
- Mix well, shape them as you like and refrigerate for 15 minutes
- Beat egg white lightly, add crushed pepper and salt
- Keep dried bread crumbs ready in a plate
- Heat up oil for shallow frying in a frying pan on medium flame
- Dip prepared cutlets in egg white and then roll them in bread crumbs
- Fry till golden brown and crisp.
- Serve with chutney/dip/sauce of your choice

These were not Tuna Cutlets, but made with large flaky fish available locally like the king mackerel.
