- Get 250 g beef
- Take 10 pcs green bananas
- Prepare 2 tomatoes

Plaintains and green bananas (matoke) are a staple part of the diet in Uganda and much of East Africa.
Steps to make Matoke, beef and Rice:
- Peel your bananas and place them on salty water to avoid blackening
- Boil until soft, add salt to boiling water
- Boil your beef till soft and tender
- Add oil and fry till golden brown then add onions,royco cube then fry for sometime then add tomatoes
- Once tomatoes dissolve to make a thick soup add your matoke, stir until well incorporated
- Add some water and simmer it for 8minutes
- Serve with rice
Matoke is also the name given to a delicious, rib-sticking plantain stew that is a Ugandan national dish.
