The ingredients needed to make Fish biryani:
  1. Take 1 1/2 kg fish
  2. Make ready 1 kg basmati rice soaked in water for 2 hour
  3. Get 800 gm yogurt
  4. Prepare 3 tbsp mixed ginger and garlic paste
  5. Take 7 tomato finely chopped
  6. Take 1/2 kg onion finely chopped and fried until golden brown and crushed with hand
  7. Take to taste Salt
  8. Prepare 2 tsp red chilli powder
  9. Take 2 tsp powder garam masala
  10. Take to taste whole garam masala
  11. Take 3 tsp lemon juice
  12. Take as needed Ghee
  13. Make ready as needed Mint leaves
  14. Make ready as needed Coriander leaves finely chopped
  15. Make ready 3-4 Green chilli
  16. Make ready as needed refined oil
  17. Get 4-5 Bay leaves
  18. Prepare 1/2 kg potato boiled and lightly fried

Steps to make Fish biryani:
  1. First or all marinate fish in 2tsp red chilli powder,2tsp salt,1/2tsp haldi,2tsp ginger and garlic paste then fry marinated fish to light golden.
  2. Heat pan add oil add whole garam masala then bay leaves then add curd then gingerand garlic paste cook for sometime then add red chilli powder, salt,and powder garam masala then add tomato and cook to medium to low flame and cover the lid till tomato soften then add crushed onion and low the flame add little water and green chilli cook untill oil is seen then lastly add 1more tsp powder garam masala and cook for 10 more minute on low flame with lid covered and lastly add squeezed lemon
  3. Bring a big pot of water to boil add salt according and add 5pc choti Elaichi, 2pc big Elaichi,5/7pc long,some dalchini,2pc javetri ka phool,drain the soaked rice and add it to this water when it is boiling.cook until the rice is about 3/4 done, remove and strain out all the water
  4. Put half the rice back into the pan add masala and fish and potato and chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves and add some golden brown onion then cover with rest of the rice so that the fish and masala is sandwiched between the rice layers
  5. Drizzle 4/5 tsp ghee and seal the pot and put on dum/steam it on the low flame stove.serve!!
